In addition to being strong HR generalists our team includes specialists in pay and reward, mediation, research, workforce planning, coaching and development. The Team
Sue Manning, Director
Sue is a leading HR and reward consultant and has extensive and wide-ranging experience gained working across a number of employment sectors, with particular experience working with not for profit, housing and SME clients. She has held specialist senior roles in manpower planning, recruitment, pay and reward and employee relations. She provides people centred consultancy services at a strategic level working with executives and boards, through to practical operational support required by operational managers and HR colleagues. Sue is a lead consultant advising Boards on executive pay and is joint author of the recent NHF publication Board member pay, What housing associations need to know, 2014.
Richard Cowling, Principal Consultant
Richard has wide range of senior management HR experience across a variety of employment sectors and is our reward expert, having held specialist senior roles in reward, payroll, pensions & benefits, but also has extensive skills in employee relations and HR systems. He is committed to implementing practical and commercially viable solutions and he leads on our equal pay review service.
Liz Rogers Mills, Principal HR Consultant
Liz has worked in HR throughout her working career and had held a number of senior HR roles across a wide range of employment sectors including: the civil service, housing, retail, tourism and utilities. Since 2016 Liz has carried out a broad range of people-related consultancy assignments ranging from supporting senior teams with operational challenges such as disciplinary, grievance, performance management, absence management, organisational restructures to supporting start-ups with setting up their contracts of employment and HR policies so that they are legally compliant. Liz’s area of specialism is employee relations.
Julie Deadman, Consultant
Julie has worked as an HR consultant working with clients to provide wide ranging support from strategic advice through to practical hands on delivery.
Julie provides operational support to many companies on as part of a retained service and also works with executives and boards to help drive business change on the people aspects of a variety or projects.
Linda Taylor, HR Research and Reward Analyst
Linda joined Forest HR in 2020 and brings a breadth of experience to her role which includes research, analysis and benchmarking, strengthening our pay and reward consultancy team.
Linda spent many years working for a Local Authority. Her experience included service delivery and analysing contract performance and quality.
Linda has also worked in the private sector for a sales and lettings company. She has also carried out accounting and payroll for a small retail business.
Heather Taylor, Executive Assistant
Heather has many years experience of managing and delivering an outstanding executive recruitment support function and understands the requirements working with our executive clients and recruitment candidates. Heather is qualified to administer ability and psychometric testing and coordinates our recruitment assessment services.
Claire Sheppard, Researcher / Analyst
Claire has extensive experience of providing a wide range of executive assistant and administrative services to businesses. Claire carries out research activities supporting a breadth of our pay and reward work.
